Workshop Description: A Wider World: Google Earth for Research, Writing and Sharing
Using Google Earth to aid research, writing and collaboration in the classroom. Google Earth is a powerful tool for exploring the planet and visualizing place. It also has many other functions for that will add rich content and provide dynamic learning tools to every classroom This session will highlight uses of Google Earth that assist research, incorporate writing strategies and enable collaboration on projects using place that will enrich student learning. It would be helpful for participants to create a user account for the Google Earth Community, however it is not a necessity. Workshop Presenter: Jim Wells
Jim Wells is a Statewide Integration Mentor for MLTI, assisting educators and students in meaningful integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning. He is a Social Studies teacher, having worked in both Middle and High schools, with a concentration in global studies.
